Deep Griha Society empowers people in marginalized communities by building capacity and partnering with them on rural and urban development initiatives. The organization equips and empowers people to change their own lives through:
Helping children focus on learning and development
Enhancing nutrition and health
Generating schools and community educational opportunities
Helping young adults navigate career entry
Cultivating new income generation for women

Celebrating and supporting seniors
Child Sponsorship
The Aadhar Kendra Program empowers children that struggle socially or financially, allowing them to live more normal and full childhoods. Working with the family, the program provides access to school supplies, nutrition, health care, counseling, and other essential supports, helping ensure that children can more fully focus on their education and age appropriate developmental tasks before joining the workforce. This offers the child a strong foundation for a brighter and more sustainable future.
Deep Griha Academy
The Deep Griha Academy, located approximately 40 kms outside Pune, was founded with the goal of helping children stay in school locally and find sustainable employment in their own community. The Academy, delivers quality education through a child-centered, experiential learning approach. In addition, it works to partner with other schools, organizations, and adults across this more rural community to create pathways for community learning as well.
City of Child
City of Child provides a safe and nurturing home in which children can learn, develop, and play, giving some of the most vulnerable children in Pune’s slums a chance to reach their potential and realize their dreams.
Diabetes Research
Deep Griha Society is working to improve postpartum diabetes screening in low-income communities across Pune. By training local Community Health Workers (CHWs) to provide home-based education and screenings, the program increases access to early diagnosis and essential care, reducing diabetes-related health risks.
ASIMIT
ASIMIT (“Without Boundary”) empowers women from low-income communities by helping transform their skills and gifts into sustainable income opportunities. Recognizing that training alone isn’t enough, Deep Griha provides resource management and marketing support to help women generate steady earnings individually and collectively. From a thriving affordable meals program that produces over 4,000 tiffins monthly to computer and sewing initiatives that enhance employability, ASIMIT creates pathways for economic independence while meeting local needs.
SMART Center
Education is regarded as a highly effective tool for empowerment. However, due to various circumstances, 47 million youth in India drop out of school. Tech Mahindra, in partnership with Deep Griha, seeks to empower these youth with new skills.
Senior Citizens
Deep Griha moved into a new arena in 2020, suddenly seeing increased numbers of elderly struggling to assist their families during the pandemic.
